Become a tester

Seeker with Genesis Token required. The APK goes to testers by mail or on X until it is public.

  1. Get the APK on your Seeker.
  2. Allow the install.
  3. Open Observed. Pick a number.

About 0.0024 SOL per card. All of it comes back except a tiny network fee. First time only: ~0.0009 SOL for the player record.

What if I don’t win?

Most rounds you won’t take the pot. You’ll find out if you were alone. Your deposit comes back and your card gets its stamp: ALONE with your rank, or SHARED. If no number was picked exactly once, or too few cards opened, the pot rolls to the next round.

What happens to my deposit?

It stays with your sealed card for the round, then comes back to the wallet that sealed it, minus a tiny network fee. Only the one-time player record stays.

What do others see of me?

Until the opening, only that your card was sealed. After the opening, every card’s number is public on-chain, next to the wallet and the Genesis Token that sealed it, like any Solana transaction. In the app, other players appear only as a device mark.

What time is 12:00 Berlin for me?

The register opens at 12:00 Berlin time. Entries close at 00:00 Berlin time.

How sealing works

Nobody else can read your card. Not even us.

  • Sealed until the opening. Nobody else can read it — not even us.
  • From 12:00 Berlin, every card can be opened on Solana.
  • The program opens every card itself.
  • By an hour at most. After that, anyone can open the cards.
  • One card per Seeker Genesis Token.
  • Tap any card to see it on Solana.
  • Asks you to sign only for your own card: sealing it, opening it, taking your win. Never for approvals.

The fine print
Timelock
Your number is encrypted on your Seeker to a drand round that is only published at 12:00 Berlin. Until then the key does not exist, for other players or for us. That rests on drand’s threshold network — a named assumption, not a proof.
Program ID
pending
Who can change it
The program can be upgraded, by one key the founder holds, until after 11 November 2026. A round’s rules are fixed once it is created, and nothing stops a round that has begun — except the emergency exit when drand never signs.
What it cannot check
Someone with several Seekers gets several cards, and people can agree on numbers outside the app.

Observed is designed, built and run by one person.

How one round runs
  1. 12:00 to 24:00The Seeker encrypts your number to the drand round of 12:00 Berlin and signs one transaction. The program checks the Genesis Token and stores the sealed card.
  2. 00:00Entries close. Only sealed cards are stored.
  3. 12:00drand publishes the round’s signature. Our service puts it on chain first; if it is late, anyone may after an hour at most. The program checks the signature and opens every card itself, on Solana: anyone may send the opening, and the program decrypts and counts.
  4. AfterOnce every card is opened, the lowest number picked by exactly one device takes the SKR pot. No number alone, or too few cards opened: the pot rolls.
